The Biomedical Science Society is excited to host our very first event of the academic year, a Meet & Greet! 🎉
This event is a relaxed and welcoming opportunity for all Biomedical Science students, across all years, to come together, meet the committee, and connect with classmates who share the same interests. Whether you’re new to ARU or returning, this is the perfect chance to learn more about what our society does, our upcoming events, and how you can get involved.
The session will begin with a warm welcome and short introductions from the committee, followed by a fun icebreaker activity to get everyone chatting. This activity will be our highlight of the day, OUTBREAK: CODE RED, which involves a series of tasks to find a cure to the devastating disease in campus. Following this, we have a Kahoot quiz packed with exciting biomedical and general knowledge questions. Prizes will be awarded to the top winners, so make sure your competitive spirit is ready!
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout, and there will be plenty of time to socialise, ask questions, and share ideas for future events. Whether you’re interested in academic talks, networking opportunities, social events, or volunteering, your input will help shape what the Biomedical Science Society does this year.
We’ll also have a sign-up area and QR codes so you can officially join the society, follow us on social media, and stay updated on all our upcoming activities.
Come along, meet your committee, have some fun, and kick off the year with great company and good vibes!
It is likely that at Union events photography or filming will take place. At all ticketed events, by purchase of the ticket you agree that you are happy for any video footage, stills, or photographs taken during the event to be used on Union’s online platforms or in print to publicise the Union for commercial and fundraising purposes including, but not limited to, television broadcasts, advertising, publications, marketing material, personalised direct mail, and other documents that may be made available to the public.
In the case of non-ticketed events, your attendance acts as agreement to the above. If you do not wish to be filmed, the photographer/videographer should be informed at the start of the event.
If you do not want your image to be used by the Union, please let us know and we will remove it for you. To request the removal of your image and provide details of where your image is being used, click here .
